Delicious locally sourced high quality produce along with our ethically sourced, sustainably roasted coffee beans are the hero’s of MOA Coffee Co. Operating out of ‘Frankie’, the vintage van, MOA Coffee Co is for a coffee on the run or a place to meet your besties - good food, good vibes and great coffee.

Acai and maqui bowls, loaded toasts with tasty, unique choices and the ol’ favourites with that little extra, we do simple well.

As your hands become covered in clay, shaping, moulding, and creating something truly unique everything else will drop away. That's the magic you'll find at Newcastle's eco-conscious ceramic studio and workshop space, Grounded By Designs. Since 2015, Myf Garven has been exploring how to bring the joy of slow-making to Newcastle, focusing on the practice and fostering connections.

Now conveniently located within MOA & co, Grounded By Designs encourages those subtle opportunities to build connections over coffee and clay. It's not just about pottery – it's about immersing yourself in a world of endless possibilities.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, my studio and workshop sessions are designed to unleash your inner artist in an authentic and unscripted way.

Friday to Sunday 7am-12pm

Johnson’s Farmgate is a long-established farmers co-op business – starting in 2002 when they purchased their farm at Glen William. They farmed on the banks of the Williams River for nearly 20 years, and whilst they have personally picked their last crop, they now support a range of local growers and suppliers to continue to bring fresh, sustainable produce (and other delights) to the Hunter and Port Stephens area. 

Sustainability in the way that the produce is farmed – using no or minimal chemicals – as well as sustainability in helping the growers have a future. Paying all their farmers a fair price allows them to keep producing and it gives them an alternative to dealing with the large supermarket chains. 

The Gather Table

Enabling community to thrive is our higher purpose and our ‘Gather Table’ was designed as an enabler for creativity, connection and conversation to flow. From team meetings, bespoke workshops or a private dinner party, our beautifully crafted table comfortably seats 10-12 people.

Think floristry to pottery, paint to pictures, jewellery making and storytelling, your imagination is the only limitation.

Our Gather Table is also available for private dinner events. Thinking about where to hold your next executive dinner, special occasion event or team celebration get in touch with us.

Workshops & Events

MOA & co is a unique venue where only your imagination limits the possibilities for use. We have options for us within cafe hours or outside of hours, from 40 to 200 square metres, there are so many options, for an hour to a full day or evening.

Fundraisers, drag queen trivia, team building, weddings, creative business strategy space, yoga and so much more. If you have a one off need or a series of creative events you would like to run, let’s connect.

Note: we are a licenced venue, where we will build the drinks choices in partnership with you, always supporting local where it’s available.
